Fall Beekeeping is a six-week beekeeping workshop that will introduce participants to honeybees, and to the basic techniques and practical features of beekeeping and starting and managing an apiary. Topics covered will include understanding honeybees, threats to honeybees, beekeeping equipment and supplies, safety practices while working with bees, setting up and managing an apiary, establishing new hives, caring for bees, identifying bee diseases and pests and control practices, and honey and beeswax products.
Dates and Times: Saturdays, Sept. 7 – Oct. 12, 2019, 10 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
Fees: Non-credit Course Fee = $115 / For-credit Course Fee = KC tuition rate (Book Fee: $25)
